Chad Braham
Chad Braham – Director of Media Productions
Why WORD?
You won't find anyone who works for WORD who isn't passionate and committed to what they do. Who wouldn't want to work at an organization with people like that? After working 9 years for a small audio/video production company, I was looking for another position where I could carry over my experience and skill set to a new field.
There probably isn't anyone who hasn't been affected by cancer. For me, I lost my father to cancer when I was 8, my stepfather is a prostate cancer survivor, and my mother-in-law is uterine cancer survivor (who was successfully treated by Dr Kelly Manahan). I’m proud to be able to say that my “job” is to help fight cancer.
What are your day-to-day responsibilities?
Everything from administrative assistant tasks to video post-production… As with any small organization, I wear many hats, and hardly ever have a work day that is the same from one day to the next. My focus is anything media. For the upcoming year, the goal is to build our website into THE multi-media storehouse for all things pertaining to gynecologic cancers. This includes producing video pieces for our web video series and working with our partners in producing any other media that WORD uses to fulfill it’s mission of communicating awareness and research.
Tell us a little more about you.
I was born and raised in Indianapolis... And it's true, it's not the heat, it's the humidity. I've been married for 10 years and have two beautiful children, but an even more beautiful wife. Audio and video production have been a long time passion, so, in addition to my day-job at WORD, I also work as a Free Lance Audio and Video Editor/Producer on local radio spots and video projects.
